Our Business Development Consultants are active in their community, can quickly assess and understand the needs of businesses and are passionate about helping businesses compete in todays market. Opportunity As a Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for selling our core Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services to small businesses (typically less than 500 employees). Business Development Consultants target, contact and build relationships with prospects with their thorough understanding of our value proposition and the ability to articulate that benefit for clients. You will utilize data to position products and services and demonstrate Spirit HRs financial impact. Strengths Conceptual Sales Skills:You are results oriented with a positive outlook, a clear focus, and confident/comfortable with business owners, financial professionals in the white, grey and blue-collar environments. Relationships:You are genuine, hardworking, and ethical and can build lasting, productive, and beneficial relationships in your community. Oral and Written Communications:You believe in thorough, professional, and proper use of the language to effectively communicate to prospects and clients. Analytical:You understand financial concepts, how companies make money and how to use your understanding to find successful strategies for businesses. Independent Thinker:You are confident in your abilities, maintain a positive attitude and know when to challenge the norm to create better outcomes. Influencing Skills:You are known for being competent, assertive, and resilient. Background Experience: Minimum five years of selling in a B2B environment. Prior experience selling complex business solutions using technology is preferred. Entrepreneurial experience is a plus. College Degree: Bachelors degree preferred however an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Client Experience: Proven ability to reach and influence C-level executives and business owners. Technology: Comfort and experience with technology including demonstrated experience and proficiency in the MS Office Suite. Compensation Salary: Competitive base salary Commissions and bonuses: Generous incentive compensation plan providing opportunity for significant income growth within the first few years.
